Support Group Meetings for 2009

We will be having two support group meetings a month in 2009. Below you will find a list of our meetings. Our meetings will typically be the 3rd Thursday of each month and the fourth Saturday of each month. Always check this site to make sure that changes have not been made.

April 23 at 6 p.m.(Thursday)

May 21 at 6 p.m. (Thursday)
May 23 at 11 a.m. (Saturday) **** This meeting has been cancelled. See you in June !!! :)
June 18 at 6 p.m. (Thursday)
June 27 at 11 a.m. (Saturday)
July 16 at 6 p.m. (Thursday)
July 25 at 11 a.m. (Saturday)
August 20 at 6 p.m. (Thursday)
August 22 at 11 a.m. (Saturday)
September 17 at 6 p.m. (Thursday)
September 26 (Saturday) This meeting will not be held at the hospital. This will be the date of our 2nd Annual Walk From Obesity at Regions Park. For more information regarding the walk you can visit www.walkfromobesity.com and click on the Alabama walk. We would love for everyone to come out and be part of this great event.

Meetings are open to ALL !!!! We would love for you to come join our group. These meetings are for pre-ops, post-ops, or anyone thinking of having a bariatric procedure. It does not matter what procedure you have had or who your surgeon is. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. :)

Alabama Bariatric Support Reunion

The Alabama Bariatric Professionals will be sponsoring the Alabama Bariatric Support Reunion on Saturday, April 4, 2009.

When: 4/4/09 (Saturday)
Where: Oak Mountain State Park, The Sandpiper Pavilion which is located on the lake and next to the public beach.
Time: 10:30 a.m. - until
Who: ALL are welcome !!!! Pre-ops, post-ops, people preparing for surgery, or anyone thinking about having a weight loss surgery. Bring your families and come out enjoy this time with us.
Cost: This event is free, but there is a charge to get into Oak Mountain State Park.
Day Use Fees For Oak Mountain: Weekends and Holidays: $3 for Adults (children 12 and older are considered adults), Children 6 to 11 years of age: $1, Senior Citizens 62 years of age and older: $1, Children age 5 and under are not charged a day use fee.

Please bring a covered dish to share with the group. This will be a time of fun and fellowship for everyone. Bring your chairs, sunscreen, and anything else that you think that you might need for a picnic.

All meetings are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. The meetings will be held in the Private Dining Rooms A & B, which is across from the cafeteria in the hospital. All are welcome.

We will be having our support group meetings at Princeton Hospital starting Saturday, January 10. I will update the exact time and place at the first of the week. I have to confirm everything with administration at Princeton. I will update as soon as everything is confirmed.
